Hello,

I have lived in Cornwall all my life. In Perranporth, when I was a child I used to Visit a place called 'Yellow Sands', near Chyverton nature reserve Does anyone one know of this place and what the area was used for please? I have searched high and low, but found nothing :(

It could be the sand/tailings from the old Chiverton lead mine which is not far South of the nature reserve, see sat image here:

I got a lot of my Galena specimens from there back in the day.

got to be west chiverton. Looks like the surface of mars and the adit still flows out across the site.
