Sad news from The Guardian this evening that Robin Morgan of Hopewell colliery has died aged 80.

yes very sad news indeed,im from the forest of dean not far from where robin lived and worked,he was working the very day before he passed away.
he was a very friendly chap who was from a generation of forest miners who was happy to help and was extremely hard working,as an underground explorer in the forest he will be fondly remembered and missed by many in the area.
