In the 1960s the BBC made a film in the yesterday's witness series about the Levant man engine disaster. There are snippets on the BBC website - but is there a full version anywhere?

You may have seen this but something on the Pathe site - is it any good?

I think you have to pay for the film and there is no sound....
Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?

Many thanks for that.

It was the yesterdays witness film I was specifically interested in as, not only satisfying my interest - my father worked at Levant during the consolidation with Geevor, a colleague at work is related to one of the men who is interviewed - William Angwin.

I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone.

As the centenary of the man engine disaster approaches, I have found the Yesterday's Witness program on youtube

An interesting and moving film. A timely reminder of the price paid when greed is king.
