Hi !

I'm looking for informations ( maps, pictures, documents,...) about the mines of Cumbria, in particular on these being around Keswick.

Thanks!

You best bet would be going to the mining museum in Keswick and buying some of Ian Tylers books.

I think some of Ian Tyler's books are out of print now (the Seaththwaite graphite one springs to mind as being hard to get) but then again, if you go to the museum chances are that Ian will be there if you want to ask questions

Never visit Keswick without going to see Ian & buying a book - it's in the rules! (well mine anyway 🙂 )
We inhabit an island made of coal, surrounded by a sea full of fish. How can we go wrong.......

The CATMHS website is about the society rather than mines in Cumbria.

Completely OT - having had the latest CATMHS newsletter last week. Nice work on the online shop. I really like the idea of 'Add to Kibble' 😉

Thanks!, we try. We'll never be the slickest on-line shopping experience, but we try to be true to the cause.
