The recent bad/cold weather has taken a toll on local engine houses in my area.
I have visited 3 sites in the last week:
Harriet pumping engine house - Huge granite stone has fallen from the small (4ft) support structure opposite the beam side of the engine house.
Bassett Stamps engine house - Brick arches: several bricks from relatively recent renovation work have fallen away (see pictures)
Also the ground around railings has fallen away and there are signs of recent loose stonework around the site.
Wheal Peevor - Concrete render on buddles has popped off in several places - was OK in the summer.
Any other damage that anyone else has spotted on other sites in the district ?
Is it safe to come out of the bunker yet?
