It's a beauty!

I don't think the suits would be letting anyone build something like that these days. In my opinion it is the best looking and most iconic landmark in Cornwall.

It represents more than any artistic interpretations of mining could ever hope to, especially things like those stupid miner figures dotted about the place.

It disgusts me how they have let vegitation grow over the Wheal Jane sheave wheel outside of Tescos's in Redruth.

Thats when the new part was bing added in the 2980's, basically all the part that is standing in that pic is about 50 years old and rotten as a pear, you can just see the start of the North headframe in the picture, which is in better shape being only 20 years old.

Realistically, what will happen to it?

It's a shame as it probably will have to come down if they are using a bit of it and the rest is condemned.
