Hi Gang
I am not looking for a pat on the back, I do what I do because its what I'm interested in.
I urge anyone who is interested in Cornish mining to download my pdf of the Basset Mines. Apart from the fact that it probably represents at least 2 days work to scan, OCR to MS Word, and then convert to pdf, this publication is now quite rare and widely sought after. I have heard "hens teeth" and "gold dust" mentioned, this will definately produce a smile from one member of the website!
I was just a trite worried that some may pass it by without realising exactly what it was! http://www.aditnow.co.uk/documents/Wheal-Basset-Tin-Mine/The-Basset-Mines.pdf RF

I've had a copy for few years now. I think I paid about £45 for it. It's an excellent book although the description of the mines are taken amost exclusively from Morrison as you know. Pretty dry stuff. Our history mob managed to get a copy of William Jame's journal which he kept when Captain of Basset Utd from a relative who lives in Canada. Contains much interesting stuff but not the easiest read.
