Have you tried contacting these people?

Although with local authority budgets being what they are, who knows whether this initiative is still alive? No harm in asking I suppose.

It might be worth contacting Michael Listbrain down at Preston Steam Services, Preston, Kent. He has quite a collection of railway/traction engine items. At least he might be able to point you in the right direction of a fitting home! Also a very interesting place to visit on one of their regular open days and shows
Any offers over a fiver....

Please don't contact DDC - it'll just get dumped in a room somewhere!
I publish a couple of local glossy magazines in East Kent (I'm based in Dover), and I have dealings with several East Kent Coalfield people as well as Dover Museum (which holds a lot of local mining artefacts). If you'd like to contact me via PM or email I'm sure we can sort something out.
