Hi All,
I've been working on a project exploring the heritage and environment of Newstead and Annesley Country Park which is being created on spoil heaps and lagoons which belonged to Annesley Colliery and Newstead Colliery. Many thanks go to the miners from Newstead and Annesley and people from the villages who have helped me understand the landscape's history and provided photographs to support the project. We now have a website relating to the areas heritage, and there are also booklets related to the heritage and environment of the area available for download on the documents page.
