Sorry no, but I dare say I can poss get some in time. Nothing there to see now as been recent. Unaware of any pics but will ask about as it's an area we been doing alot on of research on...... And all sorts of stuff keeps popping up!

Was the colliery called Waterloo after the coal seam?

Depends whether it was named after the battle or the seam!! We have several Waterloos here abouts!! ::) :lol:

The coal seam in the area i think was called upper and lower Waterloo (hence the request for clarification).

Hello Again...it would appear that the new owners of the land where Waterloo Colliery was located are looking for the shafts I'm led to believe to cap them.
