Odin is one i still have yet to venture into. Maybe we could make it a weekend of Derbyshire fun stuff :)

In fact can this be split into a new thread so we don't carry on spamming this one please 🙂

I'll start a shiny new thread tonight unless anybody has time to do so beforehand.

Was interested in these volumes (for obvious reasons)
Has anyone seen the set and could they give me an idea if they're worthwhile/detailed...or just a rehash of stuff thats available easily elsewhere...
Thanks alot!

They are a good Gazette of all the local mines etc but all can be found with a bit of searching.

They do have good description of access and what you will find tho.

As Ed said really, but they're not expensive for what you get and useful to have all the information in one place

I've got a couple but not the full set, a minor gripe is that they are described as a field guide to accesible workings whereas a few of the mines described are not, in fact, accessible.

Some useful information though and they do contain a few mines I wasn't previously aware of through consulting COPD and the like.

They're worth a look if you don't have access to old PDMHS bulletins which are the source of a lot of what's in them, but be aware a lot of the information hasn't been re-checked - I know of at least two cases where a mine that's been run-in for a long time is cited in there as though it's still open.....

As I flog them I would say the final two volumes were originaly goping to one, I feel they are over priced and have a number of spelling errors.

I want to get rid and will sell you copies i have in stock for £2.00 each
