Hi Jim,
I can confirm it is indeed the late, John McNeil, the guy next to him is I think, the late Mike Smith, and the person next to him is, as you have correctly stated, a Malcolm.
His surname is Street.

Hi John,

Thanks for the details, I'll add them to the photo info presently, it's not a great photo but does have a date at least. There are also several more of Grove Rake, Redburn, Frazers Hush and some more, probably, of Hope - Stanhope's near enough - (ebgb may confirm presently).

I think I've nearly got to the bottom of John's photo pile, about 500 in all, whilst there are some, 50 or so, which remain mysterious, most now have a location and sometimes a date.
