I have recently acquired some items on Glencairns and Lothian Mining History in the form of pre Nationalisation Plaques/Trophies and would like to share with you.
One Presented to the Glencairn Colliery (Brown Jack Mine) By James Cunninghame in Appreciation of Record Output and Good Fellowship.
The Other Presented by Mr Jas R Wilson of Bank Park, Tranent for the Mid & East Lothian Collieries Output Competition. Both trophies between 1944 & 1946.
One is a large Bronze Plaque with a Silverplate Tot and the other a Solid Silver Plaque about 12" x 15"
There are also some copies of letters exchanged between James Wilson and Mr Cunninghame. Photos Added.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
