Hello All,

Anyone know of any decent mining maps for the black country area?
Or any good mines to look at ( from the surface only obviously)
in that area.
I've been told about Bradely colliery by another member who was very helpful.
I'm new too this but i'm really interested to see how many mines where actually around this area.

Welcome to AN.

Not specifically mining maps but the National Library of Scotland have digitised the 25" OS maps for free. Its an amazing resource and hours of fun.

Not only Coal mines in the Black country, there were lots of clay mines. Also the limestone mines many of which were around Dudley.
Plenty of evidence as you move round but most buildings etc gone.

If you look at this site there is an interactive viewer where you can zoom in to areas and see mine locations.
