After abt 45 years of professional activity with 25 in roasting pyrites (including dearsenifying processes in turbulent layer roasting) and having had frequent contacts with pyrite mining in South Portugal, I decided -upon retirement - to proceed to an historical investigation abt W rush during the 2d WWar. This project supported an application to a MSc degree in mining anthropology and came to a published book abt W formal and informal mining around the town of Arouca (abt 40 miles SE of Oporto). I now opened a new project to the study of W mining and W strategic applications from the begining of the 20th Century to the first W mining rush during the 1st WWar. Interested to discuss abt all these matters and specially abt this last subject. Best regards to all. LealdaSilva
