Suspect it's still a 40 foot ladder or SRT job. From memory there's a few old (non connecting) adits above the quarry as well.

Last visted and explored 45 years ago, very difficult to locate in pre satnav days. Only about 1000 feet of passage to explore but a nice area for a day out.

ROMAN MINE, Draethen, Glamorganshire. Bristol Exploration Club Caving Report No 15 by J & N Tuck, July 1971. 50pp fold out survey in rear.4 b & w plates, numerous line drawings. Many other mines in the area are also described. Quarto, needless to say, long out of print and in great demand. SB
