Hi all,
Just wanted to say Hello to everyone on the forum and give a bit of background into myself.
I live in Saundersfoot, not far from numerous mines and collieries including Bonvilles Court, Lower Level, Thomas Chapel and Grove to mention a few.
I have been interested in the local history for a number of years and remember bits from my childhood. Now I want to discover more and share with people in the area to appreciate it and make more use of it.

There are a couple of members in my area whom I would love to get in contact with to have a chat and possibly a tour.

I look forward to posting my photos of what is left that I know about.

Hello! Its great to finally hear from someone in the area.
Well how are you getting on so far? Unfortunately most of the history has been lost along with the big sites, but there's still plenty if you know where to look.

Was`nt Lower Level Colliery a shaft mine?

Or was there a previous level from the early years?

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
