My old Etche canyoning boots from starless river are really starting to feel the burn these days.

So was wondering if anyone else knew of any similar alternatives?

Although I will likely get another pair of these as i've found them to be most excellent i'm just curious about similar things if people have used them.

I don't want to hear about wellies!

Hi tec do (or did) a neoprene boot called the Para Boot. Although I haven't tried them myself I have heard good things about them from those who have.

I use Inyati chemical boots. The lace holes need reinforcing and you wouldn't want to walk miles in them but the grip is fantastic
Malc.
Rusted and ropey, Dog eared old copy
Vintage and classic or just plain Jurassic
All words to describe me.

Out of interest, how long did the old Etche boots last, as I considered getting some a while back from SR, but never did.

I had a pair of those para boots before these ones, they only lasted around 9 months or it could have been less I cant remember.

I think the etches have lasted around a year, and I think its my own fault that has led to their demise, clearing slate with your shoes isn't a good idea

Fair enough! A year isn't a long time but if you were abusing them, then I suppose it's expected.

Pretty much every thursday evening and various weekends. I suppose they were getting quite a hammering!

I think it was the slate that did them in because they had a slash mark on each boot and i'm fairly certain that was my own doing. Using them as shovels!

I've had a pair of these for about 10 years, still as good as new. Throw them in the washing machine after use too....

Can you recommend a supplier please? My pair is almost worn out and the shop I used to but boots in has regrettably closed.

Many thanks!

Looks like the info has already been forthcoming.
I normally just type the description into Google as firms tend to come and go.
