Hello everyone! 😉 I am new to this site so excuse any messups I might cause. I am interested in mining, and at the moment am creating a project based on mines in the Shropshire area. More precisely, does anyone know any information, or have any books based on Shropshire mines. I am trying to focus mainly on mining during the 1900s; lead mining in Stiperstones.

If any of you could help I would be very happy and grateful!

Hi, and Welcome to AN. (Like the screen name by the way). There are quite a few members of the Shropshire Mines Group who will no doubt respond when they are online. In the meantime, if you haven't already done so look up some of the mines in the index and see what is already there. Don't forget that everything on the database has been put on by members so, when you complete the project you can upload all, or appropriate portions to add to the knowledge base.

Here is a link to the Shropshire mine list ...

Look out for rhychydwr1 and moorebooks on this forum, they are both keen book dealers (is that the right word??) and an excellent knowledge of the subject.
