Just curious if anyone else has any suggestions for good flood lights? Such as the blindbat by custom duo (which is currently not available)

Cheers!

Work buy me nice LED floods, a bit bulky to carry a longg way, but a 50w led and 4-6hrs battery pack, used for site lighting mainly. But they are pretty good....

I have looked at the LED work lights, I've seen them in use and they are quite good, but as you say a bit bulky for what i'm after.

I already have one of Roys Trigons, Ideally i'm after something that I can use separate from my head!

In the end I will probably buy a blindbat when they come back into production but I was curious if anyone knows of similar products.

Although, If Roy sees this, Have you ever thought about making a stand alone photo/film flood light?

Some time ago I made my own lamp for video purposes, It was an old equipment case with 3 12v alarm batteries connected to 6 50w halogen lamps behind a bit of old welded mesh.

The whole thing weighed a ton but my nephew and I managed to produce this video

Towards the end we dropped it in the water, it still worked but it hissed a lot and produced billows of steam.

It's probably not the way to go to be fair.....:-[

A good example of flood lights for video are Keith Edwards videos on you tube, i'm sure a brief PM on there will reveal what he is using

Is Biff not making the blind bat any longer or just temporarily out of stock? Is/was a nice bit of kit!

I know someone who bought one and tried it as a video lamp but found that it gets very hot.

Apart from this it looked very good value.
