The Rebel ES, Farnell are showing 958 in stock, so cant be shortage.

Also, it looks like one i have missed, Tunnel Vision = Cree?

I have looked at the data sheet and yes, typical 320 lumens at 1000 mA, but also the spatial distribution looks as though the output should be highly focusable into a tightish beam.

I have a Farnell order pending and will add a couple of these for evaluation, they are £4.17 plus VAT from Farnell.
My avatar is a poor likeness.

Sorry Roy, couple of week old information that. The info on the emitters I received a couple of weeks ago, but due to holiday didn't get to update the thread.

Emitters are in, battery boxes in manufacture and cable enhancements in the pipeline :)

Looking forward to having some new kit to play with!

At long last I'm told the new quick fit Sten battery box clip is in progress. I'm expecting 1 or 2 to be sent to me in the near future.

Any reading this who has one of the new (rigid) battery boxes want to give one a test?

No guarantees or assurances how good it'll be! But if it is good it'll be a nice quick and easy way of swapping batteries. if it's no good I shan't bother with it!

I don't mind testing one out for you- but those cord ties do work very well! 😉

I'm happy to try it out - I've stuck the velcro stuff on my lid, but I presume this clip fixes onto that?

They did mutter about it working that way but I told them it would be utterly pointless. What's needed is a good robust quickfit clip screwed to the lid.

Will let you know when they arrive :)

I'm only expecting 2 or 3 so you guysRe the guinea pigs 🙂

Nice one - may have to pull off the velcro again then but I don't mind drilling into the lid if need be.
