I know this kind of question comes up a lot, but I'm after an extra lamp for a helmet. I haven't upgraded my kit in a while, so I'm a bit out of touch with the lamp side of things

The lamp needs to be under £50 and helmet mounted

It ideally should be around 100lm

I don't mind if it is second hand

I've already looked at the Petzl Myo XP, but that's a bit too steep for what it is, I'd be happier with something similar that i could get for about £30.

Has anyone on here have any suggestions or even have an lamp that they would like to sell for second hand?

What are you using at the moment? Could you use you £50 having it upgraded?
I have a Petzl Duo 14 which can be bought 2nd hand (but not mine!) for around the £50ish mark (although they rarely come up.....) which would be hard to beat. It is a fairly good, ultra water-tight, indestructible compromise between cost/brightness/battery life/durability etc.

You could spend a few quid more and get a Fellows workstar.

I swear by my oldham + self rescuer battery box + Cree Q5 + that's about it. It's pretty bright, does the job (It is still powered by road lantern batteries) and is pretty good all around. I use a plastic optic and the light spill is ideal.

When I upgrade to a Fellows nuclear flash, it will be surplus to requirements.

Roy has a Workstar spare at the moment you could probably get that right away from the man.
A good light and helmet mounted, mine works a treat
Value for money and an unbeatable aftersales service. when you get used to it you can then upgrade to one of his top notch bat roasters 😉
