Methinks, maybe no such thing as 'perfect', whatever you buy.

I used the Retro 2 for ages before I started building lamps myself. It’s very impressive and beautifully made, when it comes to electronics, Mr Mike is obviously a 'pro'.

It has quite a side spill which will please a lot of people, but as some will like this, others will not preferring a beam such as the Raptor Pro.

I think anyone considering the purchase of a new lamp should consider this and define their preference. Having said this, the wider the beam, the more power is required from the emitters if throw is to remain. Fairly obvious I would think.

Other than this, try to see what’s on offer underground.
