Just a heads up that the last ladder, wood, collapsed at the NAMHO field meet. It had recently been inspected but maybe the dry weather had played a hand. Timber in the access shaft has always been subject to dry rot and was virtually all stripped out and replaced by concrete and steel some years ago.

Two remaining wooden ladders were left in, the first and last. The first was pre-treated with glycol and remains totally unaffected. The plan is to relocate this to the bottom, and replace it with a steel ladder at the top. In the meantime the final ladder is missing.
Will report when work completed.

Job finished this weekend gone.
The pre treated top ladder has been relocated to the bottom, and the top replaced with the new steel ladder.
