If it's episode 2 it's on BBC 4 at 8 tonight, not very clear from the blurb but it does mention a 1000 year old mine!

Hi Roy,
Good to see your performance on T.V. a star at last!
I personally was pleased to see that you did not explain the words cross cut etc, and also it was good that you clearly placed the interest on working the mines as a possible profitable enterprise.
Well done!
Here’s to the next one!

Just came back here after a long absence to say how nice it is to see Roy in the flesh.
Been injured while at work and are not to blame?

Get over it.

Good work Roy.

Nice touch that they dubbed little clips of silence over the film to make it sound like you'd occasionally stopped talking.;)

Mr Millard was rather rude as he interrupted several of Roy's answers with another question.>:(

Several good shots of Roy's lamp though.:)

This image was used in the programme during the slot about Llanelli Docks. I noticed the double fairlie loco which got me wondering. Is this really Llanelli? If it is, then might this possibly be a double fairlie once used on the Neath and Brecon?

I would be pleased just to have it confirmed or otherwise that this is Llanelli. Documentaries are notorious for using historic images of unrelated locations! I bet half those archive films of mining were in collieries, if not all of them.

I wish they had broadcast more of Cwmystwyth, it felt they only touched the surface of the place. The rest of the programme was good though, I liked the fort section.
