Thing is though, the web is full of mine exploration videos and criticism is a bit like peeing against the wind. Cave rescue did a Cwmystwyth, damn good video as well.
I don't know about full of them, I think perhaps we notice and see lots because that's what we are interested in. I suspect as a YT niche it's pretty tiny and the chances of a previously uninterested person stumbling across them quite small. Even the larger channels that do mine videos such as EWF could quite easily be dwarfed within days by say, a channel featuring an attractive young lady playing computer games in her underwear or montages of cats falling off coffee tables.
As I've said before there is a balance to be struck between showing the wider public why we love these places and want to be able to responsibly explore them as opposed to simply crashing about the place making it all look very dangerous and edgy.
Secrecy and discretion has it's place but so does a bit of showcasing - as a former competitive pistol shooter I have some experience how easily a hobby can be shut down and eliminated if it is perceived to be dangerous and most of the population didn't know it was even a 'thing' anyway and it's not seen as having any positive benefit to the wider population.
