Anyone else experiencing difficulties sending private messages? Most of mine for the past month get stuck in the outbox and never make sent. Have tried deleting and re-sending but no joy.

I think they sit in the "outbox" until the recipient has read it, then it Moves to the "sent" box.

* I think! *

That is certainly how mine appears to operate. I certainly receive and send plenty. There are a couple in my "outbox" to people who are no longer active on here and therefore haven't read the PMs.

Or something....:blink: :confused:

That simply means the recipient hasn't opened it - it's not a problem as such.

People who longer use the site, moved away, changed login or even died may not read and reply!

If anyone who has died replies consider carefully who you tell.

My powers are great; but reanimating corpses and compelling them to reply to PMs is beyond me :lol:

I must admit that the PM service on this site has been extremely helpful to me and I certainly would want to see it change in any way!
It is perhaps unfortunate that we only have a brief time on this earth and we wish to fill it with as much as possible.
People’s attitudes change as a result of change in Circumstances and has already been mentioned ultimately they are no longer present on the earth. All we can hope for is that surviving family members and friends of the deceased may post on this site brief details of of the memembers departure?

I believe it's becoming more common to leave instructions in your will regarding your 'online' life perhaps along with login details & passwords. Indeed I considered this when I recently made a will myself, however I decided against it to spare you all receiving a photo of Mrs T, toyboy on one arm and champagne and insurance cheque in hand on the deck of her new yacht :lol:

Hmm that's odd....whilst I confess that I forgot to reply to your message around 3 weeks ago (Sorry!) I definitely opened it on the day that you sent it *should* have immediately moved from your "Outbox" to your "Sent Items".

Odd....
