Hi all.

My PVC oversuit needs some attention.
Any suggestions on how to repair splits?

If you don't want to do it yourself, then:

did a fantastic job on my friends meander PVC suit. That was a groin split and so was in a difficult place to sort out. 4 years later still good as new.

They also tailored a undersuit to fit me perfectly along with extra zip pockets, knee inserts.

It’s the groin that’s split on mine.
It’s a TSA suit, too, so worth hanging on to.
Any idea of the cost your mate paid Mike?

As Mike says the repair is very good. I think it was just over £40. But you will need to send some photo's to Dennis. Well worth money.

Aquasure, the wetsuit glue, is really good. Ive used it to fix various holes in PVC & cordura oversuits. Just cut an appropriate sized patch of durable material from an old rucksack or whatever is lying around and slather the patch & surrounding area in the glue.

Think each time I've used it, the repair has outlasted the rest of the material around it...

If it won't mend, or if its going to cost you a ton of dosh to fix, I'd recommend this as a replacement:

I've used it since May in a very wet and rubbly dig (you know) and its been brilliant. Tough as an all-inclusive package-holiday steak dinner. Not the cheapest suit, but you'll know where the extra ££s went when you put it on!

This looks good, I might contact them about my old Beaver heavy duty oversuit which has come apart on the seam at the back. It's been fixed once by a local sailmaker but has gone again now. It's annoying as I've only had it 15 years 😞

That’s almost new. My Caving Supplies oversuit is still serviceable, albeit patched by yours truly. Probably the best thing I bought in 1978.
