In Lidl at the moment - top or bottoms for a fiver apiece.
Quality seems pretty decent. I've been using a similar set under my caving suit and find it ideal.

Lidl base layers work well - I use them on the bike at this time of year.
If there's anywhere underground that feel's colder than a 2c air temp at 60+ MPH, I don't want to go there.

Yeah, I've got some too. Not as well fitted or as warm as Helly stuff but for anything scruffy, they're perfect, especially for the price.

The Lidl Ben Bracken Islay goes down well enough too, as do their boxes of Belgian beers 🙂.

These cheap base layers are ideal for underground. Bought similar in the past, and my stock fluffy layer is a £3 fleece from Quechua.

Both Lidl and Aldi sell good Merino wool baselayers for around £15 and they are excellent. Where they score over the polyester made stuff is they don’t stink after wearing them a few times. Very warm and toasty in this cold weather we’re having.
