That's a shock, & a very sad one.
We worked together in the early 80's & of course bumped into each other many times since, through the mining history mob.

Rest in peace Dave. A super chap, a great asset to the mining exploration & history world and a very talented electronics engineer.
Sadly missed.

A great shame - Dave gave me one of his three copies of 'De Re Metallica' a few years ago saying it was better that at least one was in a different location! He will be missed.

Happier times in the late 70's, down a shaft on Winster Sough. We all took snuff back then.

Dave became poorly just before the International Mining Conference in Spain. and had to turn back in France . I was looking forward to meeting him a great character and a real enthusiast. he made many contributions to this forum.

It was an honour to have been a friend RIP

Its Dave's funeral today, I'm doing some charity work later and will be unable to attend.

I will have a silent moment or two at 12:00

RIP DAVE

Sorry you couldn't make it Mike, but we gave him a good send-off, plenty of PDMHS, TSG and Eldon members in attendance.
