Trips down bage are with the Wirksworth Mines Research Group, I dont have contact no but will put it up soon, nice trip down shaft. interesting old mine, which is the location for local minerals e.g. Matlockite, Cromfordite(phosgenite ) and aglesite. Non have been seen underground since Bryce got there in the 1800s.

I remember I had a trip down Bage with some lads from DCC aound 1985/6 , Eddie was the winch man, it was my first deep shaft on the bosuns chair, good trip.

It would have been in the summer because they had mirrors set up from the surface to catch the sunlight and send it down the shaft and along the first few levels, you could clearly see all the stonework in the shaft, a great way to photograph a deep shaft.
