Is it possible to have an idea of when the NAMHO conference is next year, please? This is the time when we are planning next year's diary, and it would be great if we didn't end up with a bad clash of dates for events.

My particular interest is to publish dates for cave opening dates in Reigate (which we need to do quite soon), but I expect other groups and individuals will probably have their own reasons for wanting to know NAMHO dates.

After this year in Surrey, I imagine a fair number of our members who haven't been to a NAMHO conference before might want to try next year's now.

If there is no agreed date yet - please avoid the second Saturday of whatever month it is held in 😉

I'm pretty sure the dates were announced at NAMHO 2017 but I can't find anyone now who can confirm this and tell me what they were, maybe it was my beer befuddled imagination :lol:

I dont want to sidetrack the thread, but while your have your diary handy, NAMHO 2019 take place over the weekend of Thursday 4th July until Monday 8th July 2019.

Easy for Americans to remember.

Please note full 5 day event, maybe even a Thurs evening trip!

I tried to book these dates off work when you confirmed them before but they wouldn't accept a booking that far in advance ::)

New motorhome might be up and running by then :lol:

For information, I am only awaiting confirmation from a community association secretary on the finer details of the booking of halls and sports complex.

We do it in style in Wales.

I believe next year's NAHMO Conference will be over the weekend of Friday 1 June to Sunday 3 June 2018 and it will be in the New Forest. As it is doubtful I will be going down to this year's Hidden Earth due to personal reasons I have decided to do a NAHMO and I will be sorting out some time off work to get down to Gloucestershire next June.

NAMHO 2018 is based in Parkend, in the Royal Forest of Dean, on the 1st to the 4th June 2018

The theme will be based on the Royal Forest of Dean - ' A law unto themselves ' - a reference to the still current Dean Forest Mines Act of 1838, & subsequent Acts.

We hope to have the web page up & running in the New Year.
