Hi all

Quick question

Just wondering if anyone as heard of any work planning to been done at wheal Jane. Seems to be a tractor in there over the last few days. Seem to be levelling the ground at the back of the power house. Been past again today out on explore and notice them again.

Two paragraphs, two useages of the word "sustainable", and here am I lying awake at night trying to bring the word into CMT stuff.

Logical extrapolation indicates that given sufficient time the use of this single word will replace the whole of the English language, possibly with a synomyn usage of the word "funding", where eventually both words will mean one and same thing.

no problem. just dont want to see any more rumours starting of Wheal Jane mining again! heard that too many times from certain parties, it will not happen in our lifetimes. I think for underground mining as a whole in Cornwall you need to remember the grades they were working at come the finish, apart from the odd rich patch they dont support the vast outlay involved in modern u/g mining - unless the metal price maybe doubles (hard to see how that could happen short of catastrophe in producing regions) we will see a lot more of this scratching around on the surface I think

Probably the SGS extension. I was there when they dug trial pits for the footings. One cut what I suspect was the outcrop of Ready Money Lode, I whacked a sample through the jaw crusher, tema mill and submitted it for assay. It was about 4% tin and 12% zn iirc. Copper and iron as well. Very rich. Odd because they must have cut it building the foundations for clemows engine

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
