OK, slightly misleading subject because it happened in 1926, but there is a photo.

Anyone know the location and which mine I could put the picture against (if any?)

The location of this was noted on the Barmaster's map and according to that it was on the line of Bates Sough?

Bates Sough doesnt seem to be on the database, but the interwebs says it drained Cromford Moor.

So is 'Cromford Moor' as good a place as any to put the photos ?

Cromford Moor mine is some distance away, Cromford Sough is nearer to the collapse site though strictly speaking it's a separate entity and at a lower horizon than Bates Sough. Possibly Bates Sough needs creating as an entity in the database?

How does this relate to the recent (during the last year) road collapse? (I haven't time to wade back through previous threads to find it)

That one was further up the hill from what I recall.

Last years collapse was just outside the entrance to Slinter
Mining, you can see the new tarmac square before the wide
Dene Quarry entrance going up the hill.

Disclaimer: Mine exploring can be quite dangerous, but then again it can be alright, it all depends on the weather. Please read the proper disclaimer.
