So i think i have the mine exploration bug after doing my first explore/trip yesterday to holme bank..

But as i don't do any climbing OR SRT i know alot of the mines are off limits to me until i do both.

I was wondering if their was a list of mines which are walk/ Crawl/ Scramble In/ Out in the South Yorkshire/ Derbyshire area..

Also if any one is doing any explores locally to me and want a newby to tag alone much appreciated.

im a member of a caving club.

Thanks

If you're in a caving club ask about SRT trasining. It'll give you far more options.

Getting hold of a copy of Caves of the Peak District is probably your best bet (check the DCA website for stockists, or buy online from Mike Moore), it's not absolutely comprehensive but it's a good general guide.

For non-SRT explores, try Mouldridge Mine, Devonshire Cavern, Masson Cavern or Wapping Mine/Cumberland Cavern. There are also several smaller mines down the Via Gellia but some of them take a bit of finding!
