I was sorting through my'stuff' (not what the missus calls it!) and came across an old copy of Descent Volume 12 from May/June 1970..! see first pic

As for this second one, as I get older I could really do with one of these. Perhaps Roy Fellows can devise a modern day version, so instead of freezing your nuts off you can toast them.

You ought to try the BEC (Bristol Exploration Club) mansion down the road you gets alsorts there for free ! 😮

If it can't be grown it has to be mined.

Have you tried a 'Green Ore Cafe' breakfast ! - there was less oil spilled from the Torrey Canyon. Just what you need after a night at the Hunters Lodge. :lol:

Sad to relate that the Green Ore caf is no more.

As you say, a perfect way of soaking up a gallon or so of Butcombe. (Not to mention J Rat's home made wine back at the Belfry)

We tried some of Estelle's home made moonshine, that was something else 😮 !
