Tomorrow (14th October) is the centenary of the worst mining disaster to occur in Great Britain. 439 men and boys lost in an explosion. Thought to have been caused by sparks from signalling apparatus.

At 8-10am, maybe pause over your Cornflakes or whatever and remember....... 😞

I have indeed been thinking about the disaster on this memorial day

Many of my relatives were coal miners in South Wales in the early years of the 20th century.
