The first clip showed a rather nice shot of an overhead electric mine loco arcing into the adit. Just came across this little gem...



The current collection device is worthy of note. As are the exposed controller contacts (air cooled?) and the proximity of the driver's swede to the overhead. Just goes to show things still work ok without the H&S crapola ! The tippler lever seems to be at the ideal de-bollocking height too. All good stuff !

Yeh. Crap earth return on the whole string of tubs. Maybe too much gunge on the head of the rails? Can't make out if the "pointsman" is wearing rubber gloves or not. He could provide that momentary alternative route to earth whilst holding on to the tub! (Just once maybe!)
