The 10,000 year clock rather reminds me of Hari Seldon's posthumous appearances in Asimov's books, but this one will be underground, which provides some added interest.

There's a video on the linked page showing a rather novel method of drilling with some decent footage of how it works. Worth five minutes of most people's time! :thumbup:

Anyone remember the one at Wheal Jane? A 6 foot diameter model specially built - a tiddler compared to the monster in the YouTube vid.
If I'm not mistaken it's still down there under hundreds of feet of water now.
