I don't mind a change of venue- providing it's to somewhere where i don't have to cope with ladders/scrambles while wearing a long skirt and holding a lamp in one hand! It's harder than it looks you know! 😮

Wood Mine is a walk in and plenty to do on the upper levels without having to play on ladders or crawling 🙂

Wood mine could be done quite easily in tophat and tails....

Sounds good to me as a change- anyone object? It's not really a 'classic' victorian mine but it would be a change!

The bulk of the workings in Wood mine and West mine are Victorian workings although most were started during George 2nds era

You will get one picture using flash powder, after that the mine will be full of smoke, or so I was assured by a late friend of mine who hd used such methods.

I took some pictures using magnesium the other week and that left a rather smoky chamber :lol:
