Bit of a niche enquiry here (and that's saying something). Any one out there with a Neotronics/Honeywell Impact gas detector base unit? One has just sold on Fleabay (drat missed it) and I'm trying to find the pinouts for the serial connector. There are 4 pins to pick up on the base of the unit (presumably +,-, tx and rx, but not in that order) and I'm trying to correlate these to the serial port so I can bodge a USB/serial adaptor for the Honeywell software. Thought I'd try the AN knowledge base before splashing more cash on a new unit.

I had exactly the same problem. Perfect meter, in calibration, charged, etc. No base unit.

Get rid of it on eBay now.

They are designed with maximum cash in mind. The batteries are unique and the sensor is combined. When the O2 sensor runs out, you will need a sensor "pack" which is pretty much as expensive as the unit.

They are a lovely spangly lump which is great, but they are designed to have their screwups sorted out on the company card.

If I remember, I got very strong money for it.
