I say this every year... it's really hard to choose between the photos. We always have about 15 to 18 submissions for 12 months so there are bound to be some not used. If you did submit photos and they've not been used, I'm sorry, please don't take this as anything wrong with your photos, and hopefully we can use some of yours next year.

Proceeds as all previous years every penny raised goes to the nominated good causes. Not a contribution per sale, every bit of profit from all sales.

This year when ordering you can opt for the profit from your calendar going to Welsh Mines Preservation Trust (WMPT) or Derbyshire Cave Rescue (DCRO).

It read:

Cae Coch was first worked around 1600, with major development after 1820 producing pyrites to supply the alkali manufacturing industry. Annual production peaked at 17,000 tonnes in the mid-nineteenth century, but by 1895 the mine had closed. Cae Coch was briefly reopened during the First and Second World Wars to produce sulphur for munitions, but finally closed in May 1942.
