I saw a letter from British Gaumont news relating to filming at South Crofty Mine Cornwall in 1929. Could be very interesting if it still exists, this would be a very early date for Cornish mining to be filmed I would think.

The BBC were supposed to have made a recording of the big C floor compressor at Oakeley in the 50s or 60s - never been able to trace it though.

interesting to see that although the film is dated 1966 ( and the electric lamps and donkey jackets would be correct for the period ) one miner still wears a Theford-type hard hat, while the onsetter wears what seems to be a stiffened-felt hat worthy of Trounson!

hand tramming, too...

There is a very high probability it is lost. A lot of the BBC's material from that era is missing/lost. Even material that commanded high viewing/listening figures was lost/recycled/disposed of. Little remains of the first series of Dr Who, nothing remains of the first 2 series of Goon Shows.
