I am selling a set of 34, 1970's NCB South Wales Area marketing leaflets on ebay. I would like to see them go to a good home. If you are interested the ebay item no is 160366924783.

They are 130mm x 210mm (8 1/2in x 5in) comprising of eight panels. They provide pictures (surface and underground) of the collieries plus information on manpower and production figures, shaft names, numbers and depths, the type of coal produced and markets served. Each mine's history is also covered and the current production areas/seams working are detailed.

The location of each pit is also shown on a detailed map. All show the section of coal seams at the pit and their standard and local seam names.

The pits are:-

Abernant, Aberpergwm, Abertillery New Mine (Roseheyworth & Cwmtillery), Bedwas, Blaenant, Blaenavon (Big Pit), Blaengwrach, Blaenserchan, Britannia, Brynlliw / Morlais, Celynen North, Celynen South, Coegnant, Cwm / Coedely, Cwmgwili, Cynheidre, Deep Navigation, Garw / Ffaldau, Lady Windsor / Abercynon, Mardy, Marine, Markham, Merthyr Vale, Nantgarw / Windsor, Oakdale, Penallta, Penrikyber, St Johns, Six Bells, Taff Merthyr, Tower / Fernhill, Treforgan, Ty Mawr / Lewis Merthyr, Wyndham / Western.
