You may or may not be aware of this very large online archive collection. There are many mine, quarry and cave images here from around the world. Commercial reasons might dictate that we can't really embed them on this website - any experts care to comment? - but I urge you to go and browse for yourself. I guess it's OK to post just the url of an image if anyone has any comments or queries about what they find. Enjoy.
