Not in the same league, however, just received a rear tyre for my 1950 BSA, A Dunlop, good british make? Sad to say it proudly states on the sidewall, made in japan 😞

That does not surprise anyone nowdays as this country has been run by accountants, Health and safety and daft beurocratic regulations which makes it near on impossible for any company to get new ideas into practice in case they might break the rules and get prosecuted.
Not to mention competition from China etc, etc, etc.
Even wool is now classified as organic waste and you need to have all the paperwork as to where it goes, how and by whom.
And you cannot bury it in the ground in case it contaminates the soil.
What next???
