My name is Helena Grimshaw and im a student studying Interior Architecture at Leeds Met. For my final project im looking to hypothetically reopen ledston luck coal colliery in Yorkshire as a mining museum. As part of the project we have to conduct background research into the building, surrounding area and so on. I was wondering if anybody had any information, either about the site, any stories about the miners, what the interior of the two winding towers looked like, anything at all could be of help.

Thank you for you time.

I assume you have googled it. The book mentioned in the caption here might be useful.

Some photos but really not what you are looking for although the architecture is interesting.

The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.
