I've got oodles of merchant’s bills for supplying the mines with goods. Everything from Engineering companies and clothiers, to grocers and builders.
Lots of very old firms the majority of which have either disappeared completely or been absorbed into larger companies, their names now but a memory at best.

The Tregontrees and Old Polgooth is of considerable interest as it was one of the fraudulent companies operated by the notorious Joseph Fell at around that time. The signature at the bottom looks like George Keene who was one of Fells cronies and involved with him in the Talybont Silver Lead Mining Company and his biggest scam, Cambrian Mining Company formed to work the mines of Esgair Hir and Esgair Fraith in Wales.

The names to look for are Joseph Fell, Edward Hilton, George Keene, and Richard Barrabee Fastnedge, the latter went on to become secretary of Great Work.

If anyone bumps into anything relating to these people I would be appreciative, I have all of the Mining Journal stuff however.
