Just a quick note to say happy new year everybody and a very grateful thank you to everybody who has contributed to the site over the past 12 months.

The site has grown exponentially over the past 12 months, but that wouldn't have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of everybody on here; contributing photographs and documents and sharing knowledge and experience.

Especially good to see has been the growth in historic and archive material being uploaded; from the feedback received, both on the forum and by email, it has been very well received.

So thank you everbody, and here's to a good 2009, both above, and below, ground :)

Btw - big thanks to: Carnkie, Icklok, PeterBurgess, ArdianP and Ben88000, these persons in particular have contributed much, Iklock has collected engine houses, Carnkie has proided us with a lot of ery useful stuff + attending to many foregn mines, Peter and Adrian have developed mining-info in places like S-E England, where previously there was little to no data, so thaks all + Ben has added an enormous number of mines and photos.

Happy new year everyone, here's hoping 2009 is a good year for us all.

Mine's started off reasonably well, I went looking for holes in Taddington dale this afternoon, and came across what looks to be a very small and short-lived black marble working, with two short galleries going back into the hillside....

Follow the horses, Johnny my laddie, follow the horses canny lad-oh!
