The site is quite remote and off the beaten track,the mine dates back to the late 18th century and must have been worth the effort to put in place the machinery, I read that the lead had quite a high silver content. Mrs. Dalesman actually took the photos, with my instructions of course, with her new camera,I'm not allowed near it yet as I might be tempted to take it underground and get it dirty.I couldn't find the Adit do you know of its location.
